Competitions & Events

An informal and fun practice competition for starter, beginner and improver same-sex and equality dancers. There will be no B or A class in the graded Ballroom and Latin categories, but A and B level dancers are welcome to enter the other (ungraded) categories including Mayfair Quickstep, Rio Cha Cha and 6-legged jive!

On 19th October TSC Mondial’s traditional autumn competition will be held in Cologne and they would be very happy to see a lot of male and female couples. After the competition there will be a dance party. Registration is now open.

The 5th #UKEO will be held at The Civic Hall, Grays, Essex on Saturday 16th November 2024, with a view to encourage and attract dancers particularly from the south, whilst also adding more opportunities to compete here in the UK for our existing couples as well as attract dancers from the European equality dance circuit. There’ll be some general dancing as part of our programme, please do join us when the opportunity arises – we want everyone to enjoy a day of dancing!

New for 2024 – American Smooth: Single dances in Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz

Join us for the annual festive equality dance competition in Frankfurt as part of the mutisport Christmas Tournament. Registration opens on 29th September 2024.

We are looking forward to the 9th Camp for Equality Dance Couples with intensive training, lots of fun, new insights and then tired bones! The camp is aimed at equality dance couples from Berlin, Germany and internationally, regardless of whether you are a tournament couple (all classes) or amateur dancers. By equality dance couples comprise female couples, male couples, mixed couples with a female leader and all other couples that do not really fit into mainstream dancing. The training is usually held in both German and English.

Rainbow Evidanse, in collaboration with the French Dance Federation (FFD), invites you to a weekend full of challenges, learning, and entertainment. Please hold the date for the only annual international equality dance competition in France and a link to the registration page will follow in due course. The competition is on 12th April 2024, with workshops and social dancing on 13th April.

The 20th German Championships for male and female couples will be held in Frankfurt on 7th and 8th June 2025. Links to registration will follow in due course.

Hold the date for Eurogames 2025 in Lyon. The Eurogames is a multi-sport LGBTQ+ event including ballroom and latin American dance competitions. More details will be added as they become available.

Dancesport will be one of the 37 sports events at the twelfth Gay Games to be held in Valencia, Spain in June 2026. Please note that the exact dates of the event have not yet been confirmed.
