Sören Stauffer-Kruse is half of the gay ballroom dance duo The Sugar Dandies, famous for their flamboyant and entertaining twist on ballroom dancing. Having been semi-finalists on Britain’s Got Talent, they also went on to appear on Germany’s Das Supertalent and have performed worldwide in their live show “The Sugar Dandies’ Tea Party”. Along with his husband Bradley he is also the creator, organiser and presenter of the Blackpool Same-Sex Dance Festival an international same-sex championships which takes place annually at the world famous Winter Gardens and in 2014 he hosted the ESSDA European Championships.
He is also a co-founder and co-coordinator of the UK Fun Competition which seeks to encourage the next generation of UK competitors. With Bradley, he is honoured to represent the UK in Ballroom and Showdance competitions internationally, together they are current European same-sex Showdance Champions, four time UK same-sex Showdance Champions and have been medallists at every major British, European, North American and World same-sex show dance championship including the Gay Games, the World OutGames, the EuroGames, the ESSDA European Championships, the NASSPDA US Championships and the Nordic Open.
His philosophy of dance is that it should be fun, entertaining and never taken too seriously.
